A beautiful hotel in an excellent location (down the cobbled winding streets of Seville and short walks to most parts of the city). The decor was updated-traditional and the rooms were lovely, large and well appointed. The vibe was chilled. The staff were very friendly and helpful too. Would definitely restay here.
We stayed here for 5 days and it was wonderful. The room was large and beautiful with a seating area. The location is close to everything. The breakfast service is excellent. But the best part is the wonderful staff. Rocio, Sara, Patricia, Carlos and Daily (?) were phenomenal and paid attention to all the details. I highly recommend this hotel.
Lovely Stay, Let Down at the End. We stayed 9 nights at Corral del Rey Hotel in a suite and a standard room. The rooms are well appointed, accessible by stairs or lift, with good bathroom amenities and very quiet air conditioning/heating. The included continental breakfast is good. Pre-arrival communication was very good, staff were friendly and accommodating (including providing breakfast-to-go for an early tour), and the location is ideal—within easy walking distance of major attractions, bars, and restaurants. On the downside, breakfast became repetitive for a long stay, with eggs and other hot items requiring an extra charge. Food outside breakfast was average, the in-room coffee machine was old and leaked, and only two small complimentary bottles of water were provided on arrival for a 9-night stay. Access to hotel is via shared keypad codes; a contactless key card system would be a more hygienic alternative. Overall, the room rates are expensive for what is offered. Value for money - 2 ⭐️. More concerning, our card was double charged despite settling the bill the night before departure. While the hotel did process the refund after email exchanges, we are, at the time of writing, still resolving the currency difference separately with our card issuer. On the whole, although the stay itself was comfortable, it left us with a disappointing final impression.
If I were to pick one thing that makes this hotel stand out among the many hotels I have stayed in, it is definitely pre-arrival service. They go absolutely above and beyond in every way to ensure you have everything in place for an excellent stay. Terrific restaurant recommendations, assistance in making reservations for key sites, anything you need. Truly one of the best in helping me prepare for my trip. Our room was lovely and spacious with an enormous shower, though some of the furniture could use an upgrade. The location near Alfalfa Square and a short walk to the Cathedral, was terrific. There is also a Carrefour small grocery store a block or so away in case you'd like to purchase wine, beer, water, snacks. Breakfast was beautifully prepared and delicious. The staff were polite and helpful, and kindly left a bottle of champagne in our room for our birthday and anniversary celebrations. We enjoyed our stay at Corral del Rey.
Genuinely cannot fault this hotel - a feeling of understated luxury and style throughout, with gorgeously designed spaces, staff who couldn’t do enough for us and a location a stone’s throw away from the main sights but tucked away in a quiet little street. One of my favourite places to stay and will be returning!
